The cloud bill grows every month, but user traffic doesn't increase at the same pace.
FinOps to understand and optimise your cloud costs
We analyse spend, assign ownership and apply FinOps governance to find waste and improve predictability across AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI without compromising reliability.

Signals that this service resolves your bottlenecks
Nobody knows exactly which resources account for most of the spend (lack of tagging).
Massive servers are purchased out of fear the system will crash (over-provisioning).
Testing environments run 24/7 even though nobody uses them at night or on weekends.
You pay for premium database licenses or services that are severely underutilised.
The finance team constantly complains about the unpredictability of tech spending.
How we approach this engineering domain
Spend Audit
We map every cent of the bill to identify orphaned resources (unused disks, floating IPs) and shut them down safely.
Capacity Tuning (Rightsizing)
We analyse actual CPU/Memory consumption and downsize servers to the safest minimum for performance.
Commitment Management
Once the infrastructure is stable, we evaluate reservations or Savings Plans against actual usage before taking on a commitment.
What the technical work covers
Waste Detection
Deletion of old snapshots, disconnected volumes, and zombie environments.
Semantic Tagging
Cost classification by team, environment, or client so Finance understands the bill.
Automated Scheduling
Automatic shutdown of Dev/Staging environments outside working hours.
Spot Instance Strategy
Routing fault-tolerant workloads to ultra-low-cost servers (Spot).
Budget Alerts
Configuration of alarms to prevent billing surprises at the end of the month.
Financial Dashboards
Clear spend views tailored for business roles, not just engineers.
Direct impact on production reliability
Reduce unnecessary spend with changes prioritised by impact, risk and effort.
Align infrastructure cost with the actual profitability of each client (Unit Economics).
Improve forecasting and explain material variances from budget.
Eliminate friction between the Finance and Engineering teams.
Foster a culture where developers are aware of the cost of their code.
How we work alongside your team
Discovery and Visibility
We log into the billing console and create visual maps to understand where the money goes.
Executing quick wins
We immediately shut down everything unused to generate savings from week one.
Rightsizing and Architecture
We adjust server sizes and propose minor architectural changes (e.g., shifting to Serverless).
Long-term Commitments
We purchase Savings Plans only when the baseline infrastructure is fully optimised.
Code and runbooks that remain 100% in your hands
When it makes strategic sense to engage
This service is for you if:
- ✓Scale-ups or mid-sized companies whose Cloud bill exceeds $5,000/mo and grows uncontrollably.
- ✓CTOs under pressure from CFOs or investors to improve profit margins.
- ✓Companies that just completed a rushed migration (Lift & Shift) and are over-provisioned.
We do not recommend it if:
- ✕Early-stage projects with bills under $1,000/mo (the cost of optimisation outweighs the savings).
- ✕Companies demanding the service be paid 100% on commission without a base consulting fee.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is there a fixed fee or do you work on commission (percentage of savings)?
We work with a hybrid or fixed Project Fee model. Unlike pure "success-based" agencies, we don't just tell you what to turn off; our technical team (DevOps) executes the infrastructure changes, writes the shutdown scripts, and reconfigures servers. The billing reflects that real technical work.
Can "Rightsizing" (downsizing servers) affect my app’s performance?
We never adjust blindly. Rightsizing recommendations are evaluated against workload requirements, observed traffic patterns and performance constraints before implementation.
Why not buy Reserved Instances from Day 1?
Buying reservations before cleaning the garbage and adjusting sizes is a grave mistake: you commit to paying for massive servers you don't actually need for 1 to 3 years. We optimise the architecture first, then secure the commercial discount.
Is FinOps only for AWS?
No. FinOps principles apply to any public cloud. We work across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud; Azure also has a dedicated technical assessment page.
