Cloud migration

Move applications to the cloud or between providers with a plan and managed risks.

Migrating is daunting: downtime, lost data, dependencies nobody had noticed and costs that shift unexpectedly.

AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and OCI. We work inside your accounts and agree the scope in writing before we start.

01 · The problem

Problems we solve

  • The current servers work, but nobody dares touch them because it is unclear what depends on what.
  • A migration has been on the list for a long time and keeps slipping for fear of breaking something.
  • You do not know what the new environment will cost, and comparing it with the current one feels impossible.
  • You want to change provider, but worry about ending up as locked in to the new one as you were to the old one.

When it fits

  • You run your own servers or sit with another provider and want to move to the cloud
  • You want to switch Cloud provider or spread workloads across several

02 · How we help

What we do and what you get

We start by understanding what you have and how it connects. We plan in phases, test before touching production and leave a way back where feasible. We work inside your accounts.

What you get

An orderly change, with risks identified up front.

  • A full picture before anything moves: you know what you have, how it connects and what to migrate first.
  • A phased change: we move things in parts and test each one, to limit the impact of any problem.
  • A way back, planned: where feasible, we leave a route ready to return to the previous state.
  • A destination built for you: the new environment is designed for your application and team, on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or OCI.

03 · Method

How we work, step by step

  1. Inventory and dependencies. We list applications, data, connections and sensitive points. We need: read access to whatever has to be inventoried and someone on your team who knows the system.
  2. Phased plan. We define the migration order, the risks of each step and the contingency plan. We need: your business constraints, such as change windows or peak periods.
  3. Preparing and testing the destination. We build the new environment in your accounts and test it before touching production. We need: accounts with the destination provider and permissions agreed in writing.
  4. Migrating and handing over. We run each phase according to the plan, document the outcome and walk your team through it. We need: your team to validate each milestone.

04 · What you receive

Concrete deliverables

  • Inventory of applications, data and dependencies
  • Phased migration plan with risks and a contingency plan
  • Target environment prepared and tested
  • Documentation of the outcome for your team

05 · Typical scenarios

Situations where we help

These are common scenarios, not Nubyron client cases.

  • From your own servers to the cloud

A company runs its application on its own servers, which are getting too small. We take inventory, plan in phases and move the least critical parts first.

  • Changing Cloud provider

A team wants to move from one provider to another for cost or product reasons. We analyse what moves as it is and what has to be adapted.

  • Spreading workloads across several clouds

A company wants certain workloads to live with another provider to reduce dependency. We define what is worth separating and how to keep it manageable.

06 · Platforms and technologies

On the provider you already use

“Cloud migration” on the platform you already use or want to move to: the service answers what your business needs.

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes

07 · For consultancies and tech teams

Specialist capacity for your projects

For consultancies, software factories and technology teams, we provide technical reinforcement on a migration they already run: inventory, phase planning or preparing the target environment. We agree it as a work package with a written scope, fitting into the way they work.

08 · FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will there be downtime?

It depends on your application. We assess it during planning and aim to minimise it, but we do not promise anything before knowing your case.

Do you migrate to Kubernetes?

When it fits, yes. It is a specific case with its own extended-information page.

What access do you need and how is it protected?

We work in your accounts, not ours. We ask only for the permissions each phase needs, agree them in writing and remove them when we finish.

Can you migrate between AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and OCI?

Yes, depending on the case, both from your own servers and between these platforms. What is straightforward and what needs adapting depends on the services you use.

How do we engage you, and what happens at the end?

First we agree a written scope, often starting with the inventory and plan. At the end you receive the documentation and can continue with your own team or with follow-up support.

Please use your company email.

Tell us about your environment and what you want to solve (at least 15 characters). With the FinOps audit you can leave it empty. Do not include credentials, third-party personal data or confidential client information.
