NBY / TALENT

Kubernetes Engineer

Design, build and migrate production-grade Kubernetes platforms that engineering teams can operate, upgrade and understand without always depending on the same expert.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement EKS, GKE or AKS clusters with 100% code-defined provisioning (Terraform / Helm).
  • Establish GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux: continuous sync, state reconciliation and automated rollbacks.
  • Plan and execute migrations with zero-downtime cutover, verifiable rollback plan and complete documentation.
  • Improve platform security: RBAC, network policies (Cilium/NetworkPolicy), secrets management and container hardening.

Requirements

  • Production Kubernetes operations experience (not just labs): having managed at least 2 real cluster incidents.
  • Mastery of Helm, ArgoCD or Flux and container networking fundamentals (CNI, Ingress, Service Mesh).
  • Ability to diagnose distributed systems: reading cluster events, node logs and network traces.
  • Active freelance / self-employed status with the ability to invoice from Spain or Europe.

What we offer

  • Focused, well-defined engagements with rigorous documentation.
  • Flexible commitment: part-time or full engagement depending on the project.
  • Peer technical review: senior architects involved in every significant decision.
  • Rate agreed before starting. Documented scope.
