What it does and what it does not

What it does

  • Generates your cloud’s monthly (quarterly or annual) budget with alerts at 50, 80 and 100 % of actual spend and a forecast alert. You choose the thresholds.
  • Writes code ready to copy or download: Bicep, Terraform and Azure CLI; Terraform, CloudFormation and AWS CLI; gcloud and Terraform; Terraform and OCI CLI.
  • Explains how to apply it and which permissions are needed, only where the official documentation states them.

What it does not do

  • It applies nothing: it does not connect to your cloud or ask for credentials. You review and apply the code.
  • A budget alerts: this code includes no actions that stop spending or shut resources down.
  • Review and validate the code in your environment before applying it, especially scope and amounts.
  • It does not convert currencies: Azure and OCI use your billing currency; AWS and Google use the one you type.
  • It does not replace a cost audit.

03 · Privacy

Check it yourself

  1. Open the browser tools (F12) and go to the Network tab. Fill in the form and generate the code: no request carries your data. If you accepted analytics, you may only see an anonymous notice that the tool was used (its name, without what you typed).
  2. Or switch off wifi or turn on airplane mode before filling in: the tool works the same.
  3. Emails and names are only used to write the code you see. They are not sent, not saved, and the tool uses no cookies or browser storage.
  4. The generated code contains no keys or secrets, and every text you type is escaped for the language it is inserted into.

An honest caveat: the page is downloaded from our server before you type anything, and what you type afterwards stays in this tab. “Start over” or closing the tab discards it. This tool adds no analytics or cookies; the site’s cookie banner works as on every other page.
