Systems administration

We administer your Windows and Linux servers and your workstations, remotely: backups with tested restores, patching, certificates and monitoring. In agreed hours, with no on-call cover or SLA.

Closed price in writing before starting, after a scoping call.

  • In your accountsWe work with access that you create and control.
  • Scope in writingYou know what is and is not included before we start.
  • Everything documentedWhen we finish, the knowledge stays with your team.

01 · When it fits

Does any of this sound familiar?

  1. Nobody knows whether the backups could really be restored.

  2. Certificates expire by surprise and patches keep being postponed.

  3. Servers and workstations depend on one person, and joiners and leavers are handled by hand.

  4. There is no inventory or documentation: nobody is sure what exists or who has access to what.

It fits especially if…

  • Your company has no in-house systems administrator, or depends on a single person
  • You want to know whether your backups can be restored and what is about to expire or is missing patches

02 · What you receive

What we deliver

This is what you receive with “Systems administration”:

  • Remote administration of your Windows and Linux servers and workstations, with Microsoft 365 and Entra where it applies: inventory, users and access (MFA, separate admins, joiners and leavers)

  • We work with partners and remote management tools to monitor, patch and back up your systems: patching in a window with a way back, useful alerts and SSL/TLS expiries

  • Backups with tested restores (policy and a record of each test) and copies of the configuration: firewall, DNS, Microsoft 365

  • An endpoint baseline with Intune and a review of the status of the antivirus or EDR you already have, without operating it

  • Documentation, a change log, a monthly summary and an exit plan

  • Management of your licences and, in some cases, supply through partners (Microsoft partner and ALSO distributor)

What is not included

  • On-call cover, coverage outside the agreed hours, SLA and guaranteed response or resolution times
  • On-site visits, hardware and unlimited end-user support (helpdesk): all the work is remote, with minimum access agreed in writing
  • SOC, threat monitoring, incident response, penetration tests, certifications and ENS or ISO compliance; the antivirus or EDR is reviewed, not operated
  • CI/CD, Terraform and cloud: that is DevOps and support. The read-only review of your cloud is the Cloud review

03 · How we work

How we work, step by step

  1. Initial assessment

Inventory and the state of backups and patches. We agree the scope, access and hours in writing.

  2. Minimum access

Individual identities, MFA and separate admin accounts. You can remove them whenever you want.

  3. Remote operation

With partners and remote management tools: patching in a window with a way back, test restores with a record and alerts. Changes with your prior written authorisation.

  4. Summary and exit

Every month, a one-page summary and the change log. Everything is documented so you can carry on without us.

Frequently asked questions

What happens outside the agreed hours?

We work in agreed hours, with no on-call cover or SLA: there is no coverage outside them, and we say so from the start. We prioritise each request with you and leave alerts and guides so your team, or an on-call provider, can act.

Do you guarantee that no data is lost?

We do not guarantee an outcome: we use reasonable means, with backups whose restore we test and a record of each test. Your data does not leave your environment.

Do you sell licences?

We manage your licences and, in some cases, supply them through partners (Microsoft partner and ALSO distributor). It is agreed in writing case by case.

Shall we talk about systems administration?

A first 30-minute conversation with a technical member of the team: we review your context, assess whether we can help and agree the next step. You do not need to prepare anything.
